Regulating
Regulation — the work of preparing a piano so that its tone and performance are balanced and harmonious — require a combination of careful adjustments and a musicians considerations. Kim Papa's experience and talent as a musician, composer, and technician create the perfect tools for excellent regulating.
Tuning
Piano tuning is the act of adjusting the tension of the strings of an acoustic piano so that the musical intervals between strings are in tune.
A new piano should be tuned four times in the first year and then twice a year thereafter. At a minimum, a piano should be tuned at least once a year.
Repair
The piano action has many moving parts which can break.
Minor repairs such as re-gluing broken or loose action parts, replacing
missing parts can be done at the clients home.
Sometimes the entire piano may need a trip
to the piano shop for a full reconditioning and repair!
